Early Learning and Child Care

Every classroom follows a thoughtfully planned daily schedule that balances learning, play, exploration, and rest while supporting each stage of development.

Our Infant and Toddler classrooms provide individualized care with personalized feeding and sleeping schedules, nurturing interactions, and engaging activities that encourage early learning through music, sensory exploration, sign language, movement, and play.

As children grow, our curriculum becomes more hands-on with opportunities to build independence, confidence, creativity, and problem-solving skills through purposeful learning experiences.

The Preschool and Pre-K academic day runs from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. During this time, children participate in circle time, literacy, math, science, learning centers, dramatic play, outdoor exploration, and enrichment activities that prepare them for kindergarten and beyond.

We also offer before and after school care for school-age students, along with an exciting summer camp featuring weekly themes, field trips, and engaging activities.

The Curriculum

Our curriculum is built on the nationally recognized Creative Curriculum® by Teaching Strategies® and Second Step®, a research-based social-emotional learning program. Through a blend of teacher-guided instruction, hands-on learning centers, and purposeful play, children build the skills they need to succeed in school and beyond.

Each week features engaging themes that encourage growth in literacy, language, math, science, creative arts, social-emotional development, fine and gross motor skills, and healthy habits. While early learning is at the heart of our program, we believe children learn best through play. By combining meaningful learning experiences with hands-on exploration, we foster curiosity, confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.

We Create

Every child receives a personalized portfolio that documents their unique learning journey throughout the year. Featuring photos, artwork, developmental milestones, teacher observations, and classroom memories, it celebrates their progress, accomplishments, and the special moments that make each year unforgettable.

We Provide

Learning Lodge West provides care and education for children starting at six weeks of age in a nurturing, engaging environment designed to support each stage of development. Our eight classrooms include Infant, two Toddler classrooms, Two-Year-Old, two Preschool classrooms (ages 3–4), and Kindergarten Prep (ages 4–5).

Our classrooms combine developmentally appropriate learning centers with teacher-directed activities to create a balanced approach to early learning. Children enjoy a full day of meaningful experiences that include music, social-emotional learning, creative exploration, and opportunities to build important skills through play and guided instruction. Meals and before/after care are also included to support busy families.

Families receive daily updates on their child’s growth, daily experiences, and classroom activities through Procare, our family engagement and communication app. For children ages six weeks through Kindergarten Prep, parent-teacher conferences are offered in the fall and spring, where teachers share student progress, milestones, and achievements.

School-Age Students (5–12 years)

We also offer before and after school care, as well as summer camp, for school-age students attending elementary school. Our program provides support for families when school is closed, including early releases, snow days, professional development days, and summer break. Students enjoy enriching activities, meals, field trips, and a fun-filled day with friends.

We currently support the following schools:

  • Discovery Ridge Elementary
  • Prairie View Elementary
  • Duello Elementary
  • Green Tree Elementary
  • Lafayette Academy

Specialist Programming

Every child benefits from enriching experiences included in tuition that inspire creativity, movement, and confidence. Our students enjoy music, physical education, and sign language, while children ages 3–5 also participate in a dedicated social-emotional program that helps build confidence, strengthen relationships, and develop lifelong skills.
